EPDM Rubber Beading and Profiles are created through a systematic process. Uncured rubber is pushed through. The purpose here is to achieve the expected shape. The products are then cured in a heated autoclave. Notably, extrusions may vary, from small circular shapes to large sections in rectangular shape (from 1/8″ in diameter to a rectangular cross-section of up to 6″ by 12″). They could be produced in consistent lengths up to 60 feet. Rectangular or circular gaskets can be formed by vulcanizing splices at the corners of extrusions.
Circular or rectangular gaskets can be created from extrusions. The process requires the joining of the ends or corners using vulcanization processes, which is also known as butt or corner splicing. To know more about EPDM rubber beading and profiles, reach out to our team.
